Hawaii State FCU Appoints Branch Manager for New Hawaii Kai Location

HONOLULU — Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has appointed Liann Unebasami to lead its newest branch at Hawaii Kai Towne Center, set to celebrate its opening in September. As branch manager, Unebasami will oversee day-to-day operations at the branch.

Unebasami comes to Hawaii State FCU from Bank of Hawaii, where she spent six years in management roles at various branches across the island. She served most recently as officer and commercial banking senior analyst, evaluating and extending loan services to the bank’s business customers. Prior to that, Unebasami served as officer and assistant banking center manager at the main banking center in Honolulu.

“With her experience as a branch manager and business banker, Liann is poised to lead our expansion into East Oahu, where we will be the only credit union located in and available to service the Hawaii Kai area and its surrounding communities,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU. “We look forward to being a trusted financial services partner for East Oahu residents and small-business owners with our banking, mortgage, investment and business services products. In addition, our focus on providing innovative banking and mobile app technology offers alternative ways for members to manage and monitor their accounts.”

Unebasami earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is a volunteer for Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders, which provides leadership and internship programs for Hawaii youth and young adults.
