Garret Yoshimi has been a loyal member of Hawaii State FCU for over 50 years. He joined the Board of Directors in 2025 and currently serves on the Finance and Nominating Committees.
Garret is the Vice President for IT and Chief Information Officer for the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa (UH). He received his education from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Honors Program and a Major in Computer Systems. He also received his Graduate Certificate in Telecommunications and Information Resource Management from UH.
He currently services on the Board of Directors for DXtera Institute, Western Regional Network Policy Committee, the Physicians Exchange of Honolulu, and the Information Technology Steering Committee for the State of Hawaii.
Garret brings forward extensive experience as a technology executive to the Board to help guide organizational strategy and in the complex areas of information technology and cybersecurity risk management.
