On October 13, 2025, Hawaii State FCU celebrated its second annual HSFCU Cares Day, a day dedicated to community service and charitable giving. Employees spent the day at eight different volunteer projects across Oahu, and one on Maui. The nine selected organizations were intentionally aligned with our three community impact areas.

For tax season 2025, Hawaii State FCU collaborated with Goodwill Hawaii to offer VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) to our members. The VITA program offers free basic tax assistance to help people navigate their taxes and maximize their refunds.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, employees were given the opportunity to write cards of gratitude to one another. Three Hawaii State FCU employees created the artwork on the cards, and over 1,900 cards were written and distributed throughout our organization.
The act of giving continued into the community with Giving Tuesday in December 2024. Employees selected a not-for-profit organization to receive a donation from Hawaii State FCU to help celebrate the season of gratitude. Hawaii Meals on Wheels was selected as the recipient of the $5,000 donation.
In November 2024, Hawaii State FCU was the presenting sponsor of the first-ever Money Matters Financial Conference, held by Hawaii Business Magazine. Participants enjoyed a day of inspiring and educational workshops covering a range of topics and led by local and national industry experts.
In addition, Hawaii State FCU hosted three breakout sessions which included a panel with Hawaii State FCU employees for a special “Kupuna Track” dedicated to presenting important information not just for kupuna, but their caregivers, friends, and family.
During July 2025, Hawaii State FCU held an internal fundraiser to support Hawaii Meals on Wheels. Together, Hawaii State FCU employees raised over $15,000 in donations, with an additional $10,000 from Hawaii State FCU.
Employees also participated in making hand-drawn cards for kupuna, with over 275 cards donated to Hawaii Meals on Wheels for their homebound kupuna.
